Do you want to know everything about skating? Then you've come to the right place! On Nijdam.com you will find everything about skating, skateboarding, stunt scooters, sledding, skating and much more. Whether you want to know which bearings should be in your skates or you wonder what a kickflip is; we will explain it all!

Being in 2022 there are many types of skating. Think roller skating, inline skating, aggressive skating (also called blading or stunt skating), stunt scootering, longboarding and skateboarding. The last one has even become an Olympic Sport.

There are also more types such as: off-road skating, downhill speed skating, figure skating, fitness skating, roller hockey, inline hockey, street hockey, inline basketball, roller soccer, roller derby and roller skiing.

Within stunt skating and skateboarding there are all kinds of subcategories: cruising, street style, downhill, parallel, big slalom, freestyle, bowl, ramp, hollywood ramp, high jump/high jump and long jump.

The terms are used differently in different parts of the world. In some countries, skating always means something on the ice, while other countries mean stunt skating and skateboarding. In some countries, such as in the Netherlands, skating is more like inline skating or it is also called ‘skeeleren’.
